Mystery Ancestors
Could One of them Ancestors be Yours?
Over the years, others have been kind enough to send me photos of my ancestors. Now it's
my turn to perform some random acts of genealogical kindness by offering this repository of old photos from around the world. If you find
your ancestor in this growing collection of photographs, please contact me. I will be happy to mail you the original photo for the price
I paid for it, plus the cost of shipping.
NOTE: Not all these photos are true to size. I have digitally cropped and enlarged some of them to
make the facial features more recognizable. The quality of the original photos generally exceeds that of the digital version. Some are cabinet photos.

The original photo shows the pair standing in the driveway in front of a house. The back of the photo reads:

 |
The back reads: "To ----t from Rona. Rona Froude, 23 Awa Rd., Mirumau (sp?),
Wellington 4, New Zealand." The photographer is "__icograph" Photo, 3 Manners Street, Wellington.
 |
The back reads: "Rebecca Clark. The sitting was made at Cadwallader's Gallery,
Columbus, Indiana October 20, 1888."

Printing on the back of the above postcard reads: "Kregel Photo Parlors. St. Paul 898 Wabash Street, 844 Payne Avenue.
Minneapolis 254 Hennepin Avenue, 629 Hennepin Avenue." The handwriting reads: "This is not a good picture. My cousin is not as old as he
looks there. Some day when I have some good ones taken I will send you one. I think I am going to be godmother pretty soon. They all want me
to be. I guess I will. My cousin is six feet tall, think of me alongside of him. He looks old enough to be my father on this picture. We
wanted to do something crazy so we had this taken. I would like to know what Miss Arnold would say if she seen [continued on front] this
picture. You know I have not spoken to her yet. They wanted me to but I would not."
