individuals below. I know nothing about them, their ancestors or their
descendants.
On Monday, March 27, 1911, the Evansville Press reported that seven-year-old Orlie Hall
died at 4:30 the previous Monday morning. He was the son of William Hall, of 609 Madison Avenue.
The funeral was scheduled for 9:00 Wednesday morning, with burial to be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
According to an obituary published in the Evansville Press dated July 20, 1920,
Mrs. William Suter, aged 43, died at her home at 421 Monroe Avenue.
Services were scheduled in the home for Thursday afternoon, followed by
burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
On July 20, 1920, the Evansville Press reported that seventeen-year-old Glen Sprinkle, a
former Central High School student, died Saturday at Chandler. Funeral services were held at
2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Wesley Chapel near Boonville. While a student in Evansville, the
boy lived with H.U. Sprinkle, his uncle, at 508 Seventh Street. Young Sprinkle had left school
the previous winter due to ill health.
According to a notice in the Evansville Press dated July 20, 1920, a Mr. George Voelker, a
former resident of Evansville, late of Milwaukee, was killed the previous Sunday. His brother,
Mr. Philip Voelker of 1004 East Indiana Street, Evansville, traveled to Milwaukee to attend the funeral.
It was noted that Philip held the title of secretary-treasurer of the local typographical union.
The Evansville Press reported on July 20, 1920 that two-year-old Ralph Thomas, son of
Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas of 1334 Law Avenue, died the previous Sunday. The funeral service was
scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Alexander Chapel in Rockport, with burial to follow at
Rockport Cemetery.
